Telegram Setup Guide
Create a Telegram Bot and connect it to Brevux to automate customer support, send notifications, and manage conversations with Telegram users from your unified inbox.
Create a Telegram Bot
Open Telegram and search for @BotFather. Send /newbot to create a new bot. Choose a display name and a unique username (must end in 'bot'). BotFather will give you an API token — save this securely.
Optionally, use /setdescription, /setabouttext, and /setuserpic to customize your bot's profile.
Connect to Brevux
In Brevux, go to Settings > Channels > Add Channel > Telegram. Paste your Bot API token and click "Connect". Brevux will verify the token and set up the webhook to receive messages.
Your bot is now live. Anyone who messages your bot on Telegram will create a conversation in your Brevux inbox.
Automation & AI
Connect your AI agent to handle Telegram conversations automatically. The bot can respond to text messages, share rich media, and use inline keyboards for interactive flows.
Set up automated notifications to send order updates, appointment reminders, and promotional messages through your Telegram bot.
Best Practices
Set a welcome message that introduces your bot and explains what it can do. Provide a clear /help command that lists available options. Use inline keyboards instead of text-based menus for better user experience.
Monitor bot analytics in Brevux to track response times, conversation volumes, and customer satisfaction across your Telegram channel.
